We understand that you might not always want us to thank you publicly. We appreciate all donors and we will not thank you on our site if you would prefer to remain anonymous. Thanks for helping keep health journalism alive!

Donor names withheld by request: One from Gainesville.

Health News Florida (HNF) is a not-for-profit journalistic enterprise created to inform the public on national, state and local health issues. Health News Florida posts health-related stories reported around the state, highlights the Florida impact of national stories, and tracks state health legislation. As financially struggling newspapers shrink coverage of health issues, HNF has filled the gap delivering news to our eAlert subscribers, Twitter followers and via posts on our website.

Even though HNF is a non-profit, we have expenses like any other business. It costs a lot to get top-quality coverage of a subject as complex as the health-care system. We must pay our reporters, editors and other staff to provide our services. We need your help to continue our reporting!

If you appreciate HNF’s insightful reporting, please support us! We have a variety of ways to support HNF!

1. Sponsorship & Underwriting

Health News Florida welcomes major underwriters and sponsors who share our mission of providing free and timely access to news, analysis and information at a time when newsrooms across the state are shedding staff and reducing coverage of critical health-care issues. Your tax-deductible donation will help us continue to expand original reporting and we work closely with our sponsors and underwriters to develop individualized recognition that benefits them. Learn more about major underwriting opportunities by contacting our marketing director, Liam Sullivan at 772-214-5472 or via email or click here.

We can help you reach your target audience while you support top-notch health care journalism. Your ad, whether it's in our eAlert or website (or both!) adds impact and prestige to any marketing mix, plus your company will be viewed as having a commitment to quality and excellence. Click here for our media kit or contact our marketing director, Liam Sullivan, at 772-214-5472 or via email

3. Donate to HNF!

We welcome smaller donations too!  Please help us by making a tax-deductible donation so we can continue to provide you top-notch health reporting. We have three ways to accept donations:

You can send us a donation securely through PayPal! If you don’t have PayPal, you can give using Press+! Click here to donate securely online with a credit card.

Or you can mail us a check, made payable to Health Foundation of S. Fla, and earmarked for Health News Florida:
